WHO WE ARE

Sharing our love of the sea, one oyster at time…

Oscar’s Oysters is run by husband and wife team Brian and Randi, with inspiration from our two little ones, Oscar and Hazel. The sea is in their blood. Hazel was born on an oyster hatchery. Oscar came along shortly after we moved away but Oscar’s Oysters has a nice ring to it, so here we are, ready to share our love of the sea, one oyster at a time. Brian grew up on the Puget Sound in Washington state fishing, crabbing, picking oysters, and digging clams and geoduck. Brian married Randi on the very beach on Fox Island where he spent his formative years. After working across the US and traveling the world together, Brian took a summer job on an oyster hatchery in Hood Canal, Washington. The summer job turned into an opportunity to run the hatchery where he and Randi lived for 3 years. Our family grew from 2 to 3 with the birth of our our daughter, Hazel. Not long after we found out we were expecting again, this time with Oscar, and our growing family precipitated the need to move off the hatchery. We moved to Sutter Creek, California 2 years to the day after Oscar was born. The people we met there there were fascinated with our oyster experiences and encouraged us to share our love of the sea by bringing fresh shellfish to the many bars, restaurants, wineries and tasting rooms that the area is famous for.

We have recently re-relocated back to Puget Sound and are looking forward to serving the community where it all started.
